Review: ISSEY MIYAKE Autumn Winter 2010 Collection
Feature: Living In, Looking Out
This issue features 15 houses, each with an interesting dialog between the interior and the exterior. They all have specific views in common that allow one to feel and enjoy the landscape from within the house, despite the diverse site conditions of the houses. This issue also introduces VitraHaus designed by Herzog & de Meuron, which can be seen as a house for furniture and visitors. The interior of this showroom seems a spatial sequence with transitions and views of the landscape. Additionally, we conducted a questionnaire entitled, what is your favorite house?, amongst editors-in-chief of international architectural magazines for this issue. Their comments, along with the 20 houses they selected have been included in the issue. (a+u)
