Yoshinari Kimura Naoko Matsumoto House T / Salon T

Designer Kimura Matsumoto Architects (Yoshinari Kimura and Naoko Matsumoto) formulated House T with the idea of creating a space for “multi-purpose living”. House T, also going by the alternative name, Salon T, acts both as a residence to the family of the fashion designer client, as well as a studio. This built-in multi-purpose functionality was brought to life to serve the 2 main objectives of the client. The first, to enable the coexistence of work and daily living, thereby providing space for entertainment and communication for visitors and customers of the Salon. The second, simply, is for the realization of the aesthetic theme that is cherished by the client.

Lightweight, minimal, and no-frills materials are incorporated into the construction of the House
